Our organization has existed since 1997, first as the Pocono Pirates and now as the Jr. Pens starting in 2009. Our mission at the Jr. Pens has always been to teach the great sport of hockey and promote its growth in Northeastern Pennsylvania. We are committed to developing players by offering engaging coaching, creating a disciplined yet fun atmosphere, and providing competitive opportunities to test their skills. We emphasize sportsmanship towards other teams and our teammates, accountability for ourselves and our actions, and having as much fun as possible by pushing each other to grow in a family-friendly environment.

We ensure that players and teams are placed in suitable levels of competition, allowing everyone to be challenged enough to rise to the occasion and improve themselves.
